MCW8YNWO0DOn day 12 of our Treat Yourself Better 21 day challenge I am definitely feeling a chill in the air. I am dreaming of a hot drink by the fire with some delicious warming treats to go with it. It seems I am not the only one feeling the cold. Here are some perfect ways to treat yourself to a warming cup of healthy goodness.

Indy from The Little Green Spoon has got involved and shared with us a photo as part of our treat yourself better 21 day challenge ‘Cosy in the kitchen with a mug of hot almond milk and cinnamon’. Cinnamon is a spice I definitely associate with Christmas time. It is great for kick starting our metabolism in the mornings and keeping our blood sugar levels stable.

Rachel from our very own nobó also shared this ‘delicious soothing chai tea with almond milk’. Chai tea is a blend of all of winter’s herbs and spices; cinnamon, ginger, cardamon and liquorice. The addition of hot almond or coconut milk and possibly some honey or maple syrup makes this the perfect sweet treat.

One of my favourites this winter is Pukka teas peppermint & liquorice tea. Drinking liquorice tea is hugely beneficial, especially in winter to help with sluggish digestion.

I have also recently discovered Clement & Pekoe’s house chai made with almond milk. Wow! Why not swap your morning coffee this week for something a little different with added nutritional benefits as part of our 21 day challenge to treat yourself better.
